Another hotel association called OZBI represents a group of historical and boutique hotels in Turkey which are usually located in the city centers and are just within a short walking distance to the city landmarks, historical spots, and other tourist attractions. These hotels may be reconstructed or remodeled mansions and Turkish houses which exhibit a distinctive architectural design. These are hotels with accommodations that are usually small and are independently owned and managed – making them an ideal place for travelers who want a comfortably quiet and personal intimate feel with their accommodation.
More commonly known as historical or boutique hotels, these typically small yet stylish hotels have started to grow significantly in the recent years, particularly in the Sultan Ahmet area - more popularly known as the Old Istanbul of the European side.
